Automatic Transmission Service

The automatic transmission contains fluid that acts like a lubricant. This fluid carries away damaging heat and contaminants as it protects the automatic transmission from wear and possible failure.

As automatic transmission fluid performs its intended function, sludge and varnish naturally build up in the automatic transmission. These contaminants loosen and travel through the transmission, which can damage the transmission and lead to faulty operation and possible transmission failure.

A complete automatic transmission system flush when using ZAK Products transmission products will remove sludge and will add antioxidants and conditioners that revitalize transmission seals, o-rings and will help prevent system failure.

The Problem

Transmission fluid is constantly under extreme heat and pressure. This in turn causes fluid to break down losing its viscosity and ability to protect moving parts. There are over 100 or more moving parts in all automatic transmissions, which means the greater chance for failure if not properly serviced on time. Moisture and condensation also get in the transmission causing the fluid to break down and deteriorate reducing the fluids ability to protect against wear.

This can cause premature failure from any of the moving parts inside the transmission, which can leave you stranded and with costly repairs. When the fluid breaks down from contamination, pressure and heat, it loses its ability to keep internal and external seals conditioned and lubed. This can cause premature seal failure, which causes transmission fluid leaks from the transmission or internal loss of fluid pressure disabling your vehicle.

The Solution

1) First, we add ZAK Transmission Cleaner to the transmission. This cleans, breaks up and suspends sludge and varnish. Then, we back flush all the old deteriorated fluid out of the transmission. We then put in all new ZAK Transmission fluid. This replaces 100% of the fluid and prevents premature failure of mechanical moving parts.

2) We then add ZAK Transmission Conditioner to the transmission. This conditions internal and external seals and hoses to prevent leaks and premature failures.
