Engine Oil Flush

A complete engine oil system flush service will dissolve and remove harmful sludge, varnish, and contaminants and replace the old fluid with new, clean fluid that meets vehicle manufacturer's specifications.

A complete engine oil system flush is recommended every fourth oil change or every 20,000 miles after new vehicle break-in, after late or infrequent oil services, before emissions testing or after overheating.

The Problem

Engine oil is under tremendous heat and pressure and gets contaminated by combustion chamber gases. This is the reason oil has to be changed out. Traditionally, oil changes leave 10 to 20 percent of the contaminated oil in the engine. After a period of time this contaminated oil can affect engine performance, engine life, emissions, and cause decreased fuel mileage. These all can lead to costly repairs in the future.

When the fluid breaks down from contamination, pressure, and heat, it loses its ability to keep internal and external seals conditioned. This can cause premature seal failure, which causes engine oil leaks that can be very expensive to repair or, even worse, cause the loss of too much oil damaging the engine.

The Solution

1) First, we pour in ZAK Engine Cleaner and let the vehicle run at operating temperature. This allows the cleaner to circulate through the engine to break down varnish and sludge on all the moving parts. A specially designed machine is then hooked up to the engine. Then all the fluids are back flushed out of the engine.

2) Next, the vehicle has new oil and filter installed. Last, they put in ZAK Engine Oil Conditioner which condition seals and reduces oil consumption between oil changes.
